History of Crosthwaite Church 1

CROSTHWAITE CHURCH is situated on the edge of Keswick and the Parish incorporates the northern half of this charming Lakeland town and several nearby villages.

The present building dates from 1523 and stands on a site founded by St.Kentigern himself in 543.

The Church has an evangelical tradition. The main Sunday morning service is well attended and welcoming with coffee etc served afterwards in the Crosthwaite Centre.

Children of all ages are catered for on Sunday Morning with a crèche, Sunday School (in our purpose built room) and 11 plus group meeting in the Crosthwaite Centre next to the church.

Facilities - ample parking, Disabled access, Toilets (including disabled & baby changing facilities), Sound system and loop.
